Design System Handoff

The transfer of design tokens, components, and rules from designers to engineers (or AI agents) — historically a lossy step.

Design system handoff used to mean a Figma file plus a Notion doc plus a Slack thread; engineering then approximated. AI2 Design's paste-ready briefs reformulate handoff as a single Markdown document that an AI agent absorbs directly — no translation step, no interpretation drift. The handoff lossy-ness collapses because the brief's `fitnessCheck` field gives the agent (or human) explicit blind tests to verify the system transferred correctly.
