v0.7 路 Whole sections, and a name your agent knows

Two things land together. Finished page sections you install like any other component, and a listing in the official shadcn registry directory so tools can find ai2 by name instead of by URL.

In the official directory

  • ai2 is now listed in the shadcn registry directory as @ai2, alongside every other public registry
  • Your agent can reach the open components by name rather than by pasting a URL
  • The open set stays free and MIT: the listing changes how you find it, not what it costs

Pro blocks

  • Pricing sections are ready: complete, designed page sections rather than parts to assemble
  • Each one is a single file with its own demo data, yours to edit once it lands
  • Every visible control does something. Switches change the billing period, sliders move the price, calculators calculate
  • Eight presets change colour, corner radius, depth and the type scale without touching layout
  • Laid out for narrow screens first, measured in both themes, and usable from the keyboard

How you get them

  • Blocks are included with Pro and Ultimate; your licence key is the access
  • Install with the shadcn CLI, the same command you already use for the free components
  • Set the licensed registry up once and your agent can search and install blocks over MCP
  • Prefer reading everything in one place? Ask for an invitation to the private source repository from the licence portal

Built for every hand

v0.6 路 Built for every hand

A pass across the whole surface for people who never touch a mouse, people on small screens and people on slow connections. Nothing new to learn: the same system, easier to reach.

Keyboard and screen readers

  • Dialogs, drawers and sheets now announce whether they are open, and hand focus back to the control you came from
  • Multi select fields can be filled and cleared entirely from the keyboard, including removing a single choice
  • Controls that are busy stay reachable and say so, instead of going silent halfway through
  • Decorative graphics are skipped by screen readers, and the ones that carry meaning are described

Small screens

  • No page scrolls sideways any more, at any width we support
  • Small controls got larger touch targets without getting visually bigger
  • Menus that open near a screen edge stay inside the screen instead of being clipped

Speed

  • The inspiration gallery loads several times lighter than before
  • Preview imagery is smaller, and the images you see first load first

Fixed

  • The copy button on documentation examples is now always visible on touch devices, instead of waiting for a hover that never arrives
  • A form field no longer collapses to a sliver when it is stacked in a narrow column

The paid tiers are live. One payment, lifetime access to the tier you buy, and no account to create: your license key is your access.

Buying

  • Pro and Ultimate are one-time purchases, not subscriptions
  • Founding prices are locked for good for everyone who buys at them
  • Any tax that applies where you are is calculated at checkout, so you see the real total before you pay

Your license

  • No account and no password: paste your key and your downloads open
  • The key arrives by email and works on any machine you use
  • Ask for a download and it is sent to your inbox from the portal

What a paid license delivers today

  • Every Framer product we publish, the paid ones included
  • Everything else on the pricing page is marked Planned, and lands on your license as it ships at no extra cost
  • We say this on the pricing page too: if you are buying mainly for a surface that has not shipped, it is fair to wait

Inspiration

  • A gallery of 68 sites worth studying, each with notes on what makes it work
  • Put any two side by side and compare how they solve the same problem
  • Browse by tag, by page type, or by what a site does particularly well
  • Separate galleries for social preview images and for favicons

Tools

  • The design extractor: give it a public address and it reads back the colours, type scale, spacing and accessibility notes it finds
  • The accent generator: pick a colour, take the tokens, free and with no sign up

Docs

  • A tools section in the navigation, so none of this is buried
  • Questions and answers on every inspiration entry, written for people and readable by agents

A second, free layer on top of the core: the same components in distinct visual languages, so a screen can change character without changing your markup.

Styled components

  • 307 styled components, grouped into families with several looks each
  • Free, and installed exactly the way the core is
  • Colour always comes from your tokens, so a styled component follows your theme instead of fighting it
  • Motion is opt in, and every animation respects a reduced motion preference

Framer

  • Product pages for our Framer templates, with a live preview you can switch between desktop, tablet and phone
  • The preview is the real published site rather than a screenshot, so what you try is what you get

Improved

  • One shared depth scale, so glass surfaces read consistently wherever they appear
  • Icons from either of the two common icon styles now sit correctly in every component

v0.2 路 Open core, complete

The open-core set is finished and consistent. Every component ships a full matrix from one token source, the docs and agent setup are in place, and the site now has a roadmap, a changelog and a blog.

Components

  • 51 open-core components, each with a variant, tone and size matrix
  • Grouped into overlays, navigation, data display, feedback and layout
  • One shared axis contract, so the same size and tone read the same everywhere

System

  • tokens.json generates the CSS and the registry theme item
  • Motion tokens across every component, with reduced-motion honored
  • A contrast pass so every solid tone meets AA text contrast in both themes
